South Carolina Claims Six Winners

GULF SHORES, Ala. (June 24, 2014)—The Editors of ConventionSouth magazine, a national multimedia resource for planning events that are held within the South and the publishers of the annual Guide to Meeting Sites in the South, have announced their 2014 Hot Picks for the “Top 100 Southern Hospitality Hotels for Groups.” This list is comprised of hotels with meeting space located throughout 16 states in the U.S. South and the Caribbean Seas region. Hotels were nominated by the readers and fans of ConventionSouth magazine, then researched and verified for qualification by ConventionSouth editorial team.

In South Carolina, six hotels made the list:

Editors sought nominations for hotels with ample meeting space that offer an attractive, charming appearance as well as provide top-of-the line service. “It is with great honor to recognize these hotels,” said ConventionSouth Editor/Associate Publisher Marlane Bundock. “For a hotel to offer Southern hospitality, it’s location, aesthetics, amenities and staff must present an all-around welcoming spirit for groups and attendees from across the country and world.”

Along with releasing this list online today, editors will reveal the list this August within The Guide to Meetings Sites in the South, an annual directory that showcases the most proactive meeting sites in the South as well as how-to insight on hosting meetings & events with authentic Southern hospitality and charm.
